ABOUT ME
My name is Karen Bowers, I live in a cosy and welcoming town home in Bickely, Bromley with my husband and son. My setting occupies the whole of the ground floor, where I have a playroom and a through kitchen to incorporate meals and messy play. Our enclosed garden area has room for 'gross motor' activities for example, use of tricycles and scooters as well as 'open-ended learning resources' to entertain and provide supportive risk-taking safety provisions. We are in walking distance to Pembroke Park where we can take leisurely walks, have a good run around, play on the swings/ slides and weather permitting enjoy picnics with friends.
Your child’s health and safety, wellbeing and security is paramount. Strict guidelines are implemented and followed in line with current legislation to promote the wellbeing of your child. This includes:
- Constant supervision of children
- A secured entrance
- Wide curriculum that emphasises healthy practises for children
- Regular cleaning of all surfaces including toys, child furnishing, nappy changing area and food spaces
- Strict hand washing including safe handling and disposal of waste
I am committed to ensuring all children are safeguarded and provided with environmental spaces that are free flowing, where the children can feel confident and safe to play. The spaces will maintain high quality play experiences that benefit their ability to learn and develop socially and/or independently.
